Everywhere on a Bicycle!

For the last two days I've been here at Gina's flat by myself. Gina and her family are on a 10 day vacation in Tuscany. By the time she left, I had oriented myself enough and she had made so many introductions to people and to opportunities. There's one thing about me...I can orient myself in any new location. Just give me a chance to go exploring and ribbet a little bit with the other frogs, and I'm home.

The Germans are great with me. They can tell I'm not getting the German words out yet and they compensate with their seldom used English. The young people know English quite well. It seems since I was here last in 1987, whole new generations have sprung up with fluency in English.

I've been spending the last few days working on some updating my financial books. There's a part of me that resists the labor of entering all the expenses since Jan. of this year (the resistance goes at least as far back as elementary school, but I imagine it goes back lifetimes, and it doesn't matter!) So I pray to goddess Kali to give me a kick in the butt. I turn on some flowing water music and then I begin. Then I begin to love it. I love the feeling of still focus, when working with stats, bills, statements, and numbers. Oh, I also set out my tri-fold I made that says, "The Flow Queen" and a picture I drew of a clown cat who is filled with delight as she holds a million dollars by her tail and gets ready to write.

It's amazing...I can look up everything online...my credit card statements, my bank account.I love that I discovered Bank of America..the friendliest no matter on the phone or at the branch in Houston, and their business suite online banking is the best. And then I could call Sally Turpin who is assisting me in closing out things in Houston, by using Skype. (FOR ANYONE WHO IS MAKING A TRANSITION/RELOCATION and you are in Houston, I highly reccomend Sally. She has helped me see everything so simply. Call Sally at: (832) 922-9125. I am present to confidence and ease, knowing that Sally is handling things for me.

Inbetween, I am tempted by the huge forest that is accessible just 2 blocks away. So on Rosie's reccomendation I rose at 6:30am and at 7:30am, I was on Gina's bike, on the forests paths. In some parts of the forests, when I look into them from the path, and I see the forest floor with moss and ferns and new saplings, I swear there are fairies there. And there are. Just be quiet enough and you'll hear them!

The main paved path, is busy with all kinds of excersisors(help with spelling!) Most people are whirring past me as I peddle luxuriously slow to breathe in the forest smells and oogle at nature. When on one path, there are always paths that are crossing and forks. One can go exploring ad infinitum. no fences, no highway sounds for kilometers and kilometers. Today I arrived at my destination, the same as a few days ago, surprised that I had already arrived! I'm like lightning speed now!

There are people everywhere on these paths and then I can go on some and be all alone. I stopped in the middle of the thicker forest to dance and say thanks and talk to the trees...it's so interesting when I dance in nature, with my arms raised, I begin to smell so many fragrances that I didn't before. This new discovery got started last spring, dancing paneurythmy in a little Bellaire park in Houston.
